Welcome Kunal Kumta and Matt O’Brien

MarshallZehr is pleased to welcome two new additions to our growing team: Kunal Kumta, joining us as an Analyst, Real Estate Debt, and Matt O’Brien, joining as a Mortgage Operations Analyst.

Kunal brings over seven years of finance experience, including risk management, investment banking, and private investment with organizations such as KPMG and Goldman Sachs. His time at Goldman Sachs allowed him to work in Hong Kong, Australia, India, and the USA where he gained unique transaction experiences and exposure to different work cultures. He recently found his passion for real estate financing while working as a leading credit provider to Australia’s top developers.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Guelph’s real estate program. His experience spans multiple co-op positions, including roles at Kaneff Group focusing on retail leasing, office research at Cushman & Wakefield, and land appraisal preparation with Altus Group. His most recent role involved specialized work at Marcus & Millichap, concentrating on mixed-use and residential land sales.
