Over his successful 30 year career, Peter has shown a strong ability to help companies refine their strategies, scale operations and attract new investment. Working with private equity and a diverse range of capital partners, he has led a number of successful transactions throughout North America. Peter comes to MarshallZehr from Benecaid, where he served as the CEO of one of Canada’s leading national health insurers. Prior to his most recent role, Peter has held a variety of leadership roles including as CEO of InsLogic (a US-based insurer sold to Capital One in 2005) and as a senior executive at Rogers Communications. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Cecil has over 25 years of financial services and commercial business experience, including 12 years as a senior manager in a Big 5 Canadian Bank. He has held executive leadership roles in a number of large North American Corporations as well as privately held businesses, ranging from Senior Sales Leader to President and CEO. This unique blend of Bay Street and Main Street experience is an asset for MarshallZehr Group clients when structuring opportunities from both the Credit and Lending perspectives.

Murray has over 30 years of accounting and treasury experience across major financial, real estate and pharmaceutical companies. He has held several executive positions, including Vice-President, Treasurer at one of Ontario’s largest home developers. Murray is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) responsible for leading MarshallZehr’s accounting and financial reporting and coordinating aspects of Risk Management.

Sean joined MarshallZehr in 2015 and serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations. With nearly a decade of experience at the firm, he has held progressively senior roles across business development, underwriting, and project management. In his current role, he leads mortgage operations ensuring operational excellence across key business functions and is a key member of our senior leadership team.

Sean plays a critical role in managing MarshallZehr’s loan portfolio, applying a disciplined approach to risk mitigation and leveraging his expertise to drive strategic solutions.

Sean is a graduate of the University of Guelph’s Real Estate program and holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Valuation from the UBC Sauder School of Business. He is a licensed Mortgage Broker in Ontario and a Sub-Broker in British Columbia.

Christopher Roe joined MarshallZehr in 2023, where he serves as the Vice President of Capital & Investor Relations. In his current role, he leverages his extensive industry knowledge to lead business growth and communications with institutional partners.

Christopher brings over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, with experience in both public and private markets. He has held many senior relationship management roles at some of North America’s largest investment firms. As a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Christopher’s expertise in capital markets, strategic relationship management, and investment solutions has made him a trusted partner to clients and a key asset within the organization.
