Peter Berczi joins MarshallZehr as new CEO

Today, MarshallZehr Group is very excited to announce the arrival of Peter Berczi to the company as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 5th. The addition of Peter in this key role comes as part of the long-term strategic plan for MarshallZehr: continuing to elevate our capabilities, reinforcing the scalability of our organization, and focusing on driving the growth of our business.
As CEO, Peter will work collaboratively with MarshallZehr co-founders Gregory Zehr and David Marshall, as well as the outstanding MarshallZehr leadership team. Gregory will move into the role of Executive Chairman and will continue his active involvement, working with the entire MarshallZehr team to expand our vision and grow successfully with key relations and value-added services. David remains as President and will maintain his focus on capital and developer relations. Rounding out the seasoned executive leadership team are Cecil Hayes (Chief Operating Officer), Murray Snedden (Chief Financial Officer and Principal Broker), Nicholas Armstrong (Chief Technology Officer), and Ceri Haywood (Senior Vice President, Operations).

Over his successful 30 year career, Peter has shown a strong ability to help companies refine their strategies, scale operations and attract new investment. Working with private equity and a diverse range of capital partners, he has led a number of successful transactions throughout North America. Peter comes to MarshallZehr from Benecaid, where he served as the CEO of one of Canada’s leading national health insurers. Prior to his most recent role, Peter has held a variety of leadership roles including as CEO of InsLogic (a US-based insurer sold to Capital One in 2005) and as a senior executive at Rogers Communications. Peter earned his undergraduate degree from Queen’s (1990) and his MBA from Wilfrid Laurier (1992).
